The blind leading the blind?
We all remember and learn by DOING - far more so than by reading or listening. The hands-on approach of our team challenges is designed to make people work together and EXPERIENCE the power of teambuilding in problem solving.
Team-building ranges from pure fun to specific in depth training programs.
A company will benefit from using a good quality team-building day in a number of ways. It is people getting to know each other, it is people spending quality time with each other, people getting a chance to learn about each other. It is people using all their resources wisely. If you do not know what resources people have, how can you use them wisely? In a day to day situation you are so busy doing what you do, perhaps fire-fighting or just barely keeping the in-tray down to a manageable level, you don't have time to learn about other people, you don't have time to find out what skills they have, it may be that you could do what you do normally, better; you could do your job more effectively if you had certain input from other people or maybe if you even swap roles within the team.
or working as a team?
This is what team-building allows. Time out to specifically develop team skills, team-building with opportunities to demonstrate and develop new skills. Going to the pub, having a pizza together, playing pool, going bowling this is team building but Team-building by chance. A Team-building event with a specific purpose or outcome is at the other end of the scale. With a facilitated team building day, the participants will learn how to be more effective, efficient and achieve results while at the same time having lots of fun. The Result: The Company will make instant benefits. If everyone makes one change, or 1% change, then the cumulative figure will hit the business with a bang !
I can fly!
"No sportsman has one lesson then knows it all. He must practice, gain experience and look for feedback. He will revisit, receive coaching, upgrade skills, service old skills and make sure he is developing accordingly. Others will be developing, so if you are not moving forwards you will lose. There is no standing still in sport or business".
When there are specific goals you wish to achieve, we provide a facilitator who will link the experiences of the day to your business.
Typical team building learning objectives include;
- Outstanding Teamwork
- Group-Profile, Appreciation
- Stress
- Communication skills
- Leadership
- Beneficial thoughts and behaviours
- Motivation
- Winning Ways
- Planning and negotiation
Many of these offer greater value when backed up by the chance to test the new ideas out on practical activities in a safe environment. Activities such as Minefield Crossing, Bridge Build, Rollerball and Cape Canaveral are excellent.
Team Building is usually putting a new team together, getting to know new faces and generally building up a strong positive approach to working together
Team Bonding is taking an existing team that should already work together effectively, however for many reasons don't!
Team Development is taking an existing team that already work together fairly well, however the time for change has arrived and further team development training needs are required.
